If you do not bring it out, you do not know what you are

In the conversations of the poet's path, a simple idea returns: expression, in contact with another or with the other, is the occasion to know one's own essence. If it does not come out, you do not know what it is.

That meets the mirror in the notebook. What is inside is not available to ordinary consciousness. It becomes visible when it takes form.

An extraordinary scene is not required. Something has to be brought out — a line, an image, a gesture — and then you look at what appeared. Ordinary life is enough. Society usually says what to feed and what to keep silent. The poem is one of the places where that can be disobeyed without a speech.
